    The Wisconsin Sheep Dairy Cooperative (WSDC) is the only U.S. dairy sheep milk marketing cooperative. The co- operative collects milk from its members and markets it to processors. The cooperative is increasing the amount of its milk that is custom-made into cheese with the cheese marketed by the cooperative as well. The Sheep Production & Marketing Grant Program seeks to develop solutions for practical problems on a national basis and address the needs of the entire sheep industry, while focusing on the measurable benefits for sheep producers, encouraging partnerships among other sheep industry organizations, and reducing duplication of effort among participating organizations.   “The margin in lamb production is there for the top producers,” said Hosford. “For average producers, the margin is there when prices are high.
