The copies were made and sent to the diocese office every year until the mid s. This collection contains indexed images of transcripts of parish registers from Lutheran and Catholic parishes in Pommern (Pomerania), some of which now lies in Poland.
The registers include records of baptisms, births, marriages, burials, deaths, confirmations, and communicants. Initially, these records were kept on loose leaves but the rules were later tightened by James I ordering the records to be kept in parchment books.
